Terms of Service
Last updated November 5, 2026
The short version: be at least 13, keep your account secure, follow the Community Guidelines, and don't break the law or the service. LinkUp is free. We can remove content or accounts that break these rules.
1. Who can use LinkUp
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age to use online services in your country if that's higher. If you're under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission. By creating an account, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Community Guidelines.
2. Your account
- Give us a real email address that you control. We send a one-time code to it every time you log in, and we use it to reset your password.
- You're responsible for activity on your account. Keep your password private, and don't share login codes with anyone. We will never ask you for them.
- Usernames must be unique. Don't pick one that impersonates another person or organization.
- You can delete your account at any time from Settings → My account.
3. Your content
You own what you post: messages, images, voice messages, files and profile details. To run the service, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, transmit and process that content. The license covers only what's needed to show it to the people you share it with and to keep the service working and safe. It ends when the content is deleted, except for copies kept for a short time in backups or where the law requires us to keep them.
Only post content you have the right to share. If you believe something on LinkUp infringes your copyright, contact us using the details below.
4. Acceptable use
Follow the Community Guidelines. In particular, you must not:
- Break any law, or use LinkUp to plan, promote or carry out illegal activity.
- Harass, threaten or exploit anyone, and never share sexual content involving minors.
- Send spam, run scams or phishing, or distribute malware.
- Access accounts, servers or data that aren't yours, or probe, overload or disrupt the service.
- Scrape or automate the service without our written permission, run self-bots, or get around rate limits, bans or other safety features.
- Post, share or request sexual or NSFW content of any kind, anywhere on LinkUp, including DMs. There are no adult or 18+ areas.
- Artificially inflate servers, for example with join-for-join, member exchanges, bought members, alt accounts or forced-join rewards.
- Buy, sell, trade or rent accounts, usernames, servers, server roles, members, boosts or cosmetics.
5. Servers and moderators
Server owners and the moderators they appoint can set extra rules for their communities, and can remove messages or members. They must still follow these Terms. We aren't responsible for how a server is run, but we may act against servers that break our rules.
6. Pricing
Every core feature of LinkUp is free, and we won't move a free feature behind a paywall. LinkUp Super (a monthly subscription) and server boosts (monthly, per boost) are optional extras sold through our payment provider, Stripe. Prices are shown before you pay.
- Renewal and cancellation: subscriptions renew monthly until you cancel. When you cancel, you keep the perks until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Boosts: boosts belong to your account. You can move them between servers, but you can't sell, resell or transfer them to another person. If a subscription ends, its boosts are removed.
- Refunds: where the law requires refunds, for example withdrawal rights in some countries, we honor them. Contact us for help.
- Abuse: perks may be removed without refund from accounts that seriously break these Terms.
7. Our software and brand
LinkUp's name, logo, design and software belong to us and our licensors. You may use the service as intended, but you may not copy our brand or present your own service as LinkUp.
8. Suspension and termination
We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or the Guidelines, or that put other people or the service at risk. Where it's appropriate and safe, we'll tell you why. You can stop using LinkUp at any time.
9. Disclaimers
LinkUp is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it secure and online, but we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Content from other users is theirs, not ours, and we don't endorse it.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of LinkUp. Because the service is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of US$50 or what you paid us in the past 12 months. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change is significant, we'll let you know in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using LinkUp after that, you accept the new Terms.
